This morning I got to join some of my sisters-in-Christ around a table at our Church and work on creating a prayer shawl for donation to one of our area hospice facilities.
I completed one back in 2010. I’ve been working on my second one since then…… :-/
But something that struck me this evening as I picked it up again to work on it a little more with Sam, while she’s working on a scarf… was how truly and wonderfully blessed we are to even have the privilege of prayer.
Does our God, as Mighty as He is, really need to hear from us?
Today, I am thankful that I serve a God that wants to hear from me. So much so that He even gave us specific instructions in His Word on how to do it.
Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?” ~2 Samuel 7:18
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. ~Romans 12:12
…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ~Philippians 4:6
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. ~James 5:13
