A 10th Birthday to Remember

Now that things have quieted down a little here… I finished up the awesome 5 Day Series that I got to be a part of… and we’re starting to get back to life-moving-forward following the bomb that dropped on us just over a week ago… it’s time to get back to sharing about some of the wonderful things we’ve done this summer.

One of those things was a BIG one: celebrating Sammi’s 10TH BIRTHDAY!!

My Sam is one. of. a. kind. I could take the time and space here to describe her to you in detail, but it would take many hours to do her justice and more space than Blogger might allow! 😉 I have tried to do it in the past though…

On the evening before her birthday, we celebrated with our extended family.

Yes… we had…

You can find the inspirations behind these creations on my Pinterest Board: “Partay

I did cheat on a few of these little creations though… for instance, my “Bear Claws” were just oatmeal creme pies with slivered almonds stuck in the ends… and my “Witch’s Brew” was just green Hawaiian Punch! 😉 {Hey, I’m keepin’ it real ya’ll…}

Without too much pomp & circumstance, Sam was ready to commence the present opening!

Opening presents from Lawrie, Grammy & Poppy

Opening presents from Aunt Nikkie, Pawpaw & Grammy, and Aunt Shelly & Uncle Daniel

There were THREE really special presents this day though and they were from…

Pawpaw & Grammaw… A Nikon CoolPix  Camera!

Aunt Shelly & Uncle Daniel… Archery Lessons!!

And Poppy & Grammy… 10, $10 dollar bills all-in-one!!!
Then it was time for some birthday wishes…
{Poppy gets to join in, since his birthday was the day before!}  😉

We had a lot of fun, despite the blazing hot temperatures that plagued us this July day.

Believe it or not, this wasn’t it though! The next day, Sam & I went on a very special, very awesome Mother-Daughter adventure to the Blue Ridge Mountains……

  1. What a fantastic party 🙂 I love the colors and the excitement on her face!

  2. She looks so happy! Looks like a lot of fun and some great presents!
