My Story

I’ve been a Christian since I was 13 years old. I remember the day I made the decision as clear as a bell, even though it wasn’t one of those explosively overwhelmingly, firework-type of salvation epiphanies.

It was January 24, 1994. Funny enough, I don’t remember the day because it was the day that I accepted the gospel message of Jesus Christ {though I suppose I should remember it for that…} but because it was the first “official” day of my homeschooling journey. A journey which included me being pulled out of 8th grade public school just prior to Winter Break and commenced there on that January day because my A-Beka Video Home School curriculum had arrived. 😉

Pastor Jim Schettler spoke about Jesus in terms that I’d never experienced. {Though my family was Christian, it was a quiet faith and we did not attend a Church.} I’d been drawn to the Lord from a young age… reading the Bible aloud to my next door Grandmother and often “playing Church” with my sister.
