Daniel Pauses for a Drink on the Way to Capernaum

Sam’s Entry… “Daniel Pauses for a Drink on the Way to Capernaum,”
a scene inspired by The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare

Sam captured this shot back in March with the help of her “model” brother, for her home school Book Club’s annual Art Show. Each year the students complete a work of art inspired by one of the book selections that their club has read during the school year.

Her photo represents a scene inspired by the book The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare and is entitled “Daniel Pauses for a Drink on the Way to Capernaum.”

Sam Wins First Place in Art Show

Sam let me snap a quick photo of her with her congratulatory email during all of her excitement!

We learned of this online contest earlier this year through our friends over at Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool and she was excited to enter her picture into this Art Show as well! Since then, we have thoroughly enjoyed the Art for Homeschool site and are seriously considering signing up for their art lessons for our upcoming school year! If you’ve never heard of it before, be sure to check it out!
